Listed below are some links about health and the mobile phone. APUMP is increasingly concerned about this question, because there is so much deception and dishonesty about other aspects of mobile phone usage. If you know of any other links that should appear here, please let us know so they can be added. Click here to pass on more information about health and the mobile phone. Don't limit yourself to information about digital vs analogue - please pass on any information (must be from sources which can be verified online) so that it can be made available to others. Similarly, if you are involved in health-related mobile phone litigation, please let APUMP know. We will happily post a specific request for additional information.ti

  1. Radiation. Click here for a useful article about mobile phone radiation by Stewart Fist.
  2. Heart pacemakers. Click here for an explicit admission that GSM digital phones can interfere with heart pacemakers! If that link has been changed, it referenced a paper delivered by K. H. Joyner, State of the Science in Wireless Instrument Medical Equipment Interference, State of the Science Colloquium, Rome, November 1995.

A major study was carried out on this question. Dr. David Hayes (co- author of the study and Director of Pacemaker Services at Mayo clinic in the USA) summed it up by saying

"I would tell patients that analog phones are certainly the safest."

In plain words, our elected government is telling the users of pacemakers that they will be forced to use a more dangerous kind of mobile phone or go without one entirely!
